Jo explores the journey of a single shape through a sequence of colours. While listening to the radio in her studio, a discussion about the decline of coral reefs through human activity prompted the introduction of vivid pink alongside bleached white. The lozenge-shaped forms also nod to the silhouettes of boats.
Jo Angell is a contemporary British artist based in Essex. Her work explores the expressive impact of colour through paintings, prints and other mediums.
