Fustic Triptych
Fustic Triptych
Artist: Pamela Print
A handwoven, hand-dyed textile art piece designed and produced by Textile Artist & Weaver Pamela Print. Can be purchased as a single piece or as a complete Triptych. This piece is dyed by hand using natural and repurposed yarns and techniques such as Ikat and dip-dyeing. Plant dyes such as weld & fustic for shades of yellow, and over-dyed with indigo for shades of green, and pure indigo and logwood to create an array of inky blues, making this an environmentally friendly piece.
Handwoven on a dobby loom in Pamela's studio using a complex double cloth weaving technique and a combination of weave structures, this unique framed artwork draws inspiration from the ethos and aesthetic of Indian Kantha & Japanese Boro textiles.
Framed in Ash, with fixtures ready to hang, either portrait or landscape.
Material: 90% wool | 10% cotton/silk
