Claire is a landscape artist working predominantly in oils. A self taught, emerging artist with a particular love of working En Plein Air (painting from life outside) using a limited palette, Claire also works up larger pieces from studies and photographic references in the studio. The unique Essex coast and countryside where she lives hold a special interest, with the aim of capturing the fleeting light, documenting a moment in time and the essence of the landscape that she loves.
